Indomethacin 25mg (Indocap 25 mg) is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as chronic inflammatory disorder that typically affects the joints in your hands and feet (rheumatoid arthritis), joint disease (osteoarthritis), arthritis that affect the spine (ankylosing spondylitis), pain, inflammation, and swelling following orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal disorders, painful periods (dysmenorrhea), low back pain, severe swelling of the tendon (tendinitis), sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually a big toe (gout), inflammation of one or more bursae (small sacs) of synovial fluid in the body (bursitis).

Indomethacin 25mg belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing chemicals that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

To make sure indomethacin is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or if you smoke; a history of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot; a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding; asthma; liver or kidney disease; or fluid retention. Taking indomethacin during the last 3 months of pregnancy may harm the unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using indomethacin. Indomethacin can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine. Indomethacin is not approved for use by anyone younger than 14 years old.

Do not crush, chew, break, or open an extended-release capsule. Swallow it whole. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Do not allow the liquid medicine to freeze.

What happens if I miss a dose?
