Uses
Benzyl nicotinate topical is used in combination with heparin in the treatment of blood clots that form in veins (blood vessels).
How it works
Benzyl nicotinate belongs to the class of medications called as vasodilators. It works by dilating the blood vessels and together with heparin (which dissolves/ prevents the formation of blood clots), increases the blood flow to the affected area thereby relieving the associated symptoms.

Uses
Heparin topical is used as an ointment or gel to relieve inflammation, pain, and itching due to piles; and other ano-rectal diseases (proctitis, periproctitis); pain, swelling and redness that occurs due to blood clots in the veins (thrombophlebitis), and bruising due to blood clots.

Heparin belongs to the class of medications called as anticoagulants. It prevents the formation of blood clots and causes dissolution of already formed blood clots.
