WHAT IS LUPINAC?

LUPINAC contains a combination of drugs called Acetylcysteine and Taurine
nN-Acetylcysteine is a Sulphur containing Amino acid derivative, A mucolytic agent and paracetamol (acetaminophen) Antidote
nTaurine is a non-essential amino acid for adults, but it should be supplied in low birth weight infants and in infant formulas

WHAT LUPINAC IS USED FOR?

It is used in the management of

nParacetamol poisoning
nAcute and chronic bronchitis
nChronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
nTracheostomy care
nAlveolar proteinosis
nAngina pectoris
nGastritis
nHeart attack

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:

Tell your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

nAre allergic (hypersensitive) to N-Acetylcysteine, Taurine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
nAre suffering from severe respiratory insufficiency
nAre suffering from asthma
nHave peptic ulcer

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Do not use this medicine without doctors? advice. Children under 2 years of age may not use this medicine

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking

nNitro-glycerine, a medicine used to treat angina pectoris
nLithium, a medicine used to treat psychosis
n

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nSwallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
nTake as directed by your doctor

If you take more LUPINAC

nIf you take more LUPINAC, talk to a doctor or go to a hospital straight away
n
nIf you forget to take LUPINAC
n
nIf you forget to take a dose, skip the missed dose. Then take your next dose as normal. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose
n
nIf you stop taking LUPINAC
n
nTalk to your doctor before stopping this medicine
n

n• Stomatitis
n• Vomiting
n• Hypotension

n• Chest tightness
n• Drowsiness
n• Bronchoconstriction
n• Rashes
