HOW MUCH TO TAKE THE DRUG

For symptomatic relief of tension and anxiety that is associated with psychoneurosis the dose for adults is 50?100 mg q.i.d. Those who are over the age of six for them 50?100 mg daily in divided doses. Whereas under the age of six, 50 mg daily in divided doses.

nIf the medicine is used in the management of pruritus that happens because of allergic conditions such as atopic, chronic urticaria, contact dermatoses, etc for adults, the dose is 25 mg t.i.d. or q.i.d, children above age six are usually given the dose 50?100 mg daily in divided doses and those below the age of six 50 mg daily in divided doses .

nWhen it is used as a sedative in premedication following general anaesthesia the dose is usually 0.6 mg/kg in children and 50?100 mg in adults.

nIt is however to be noted that the dose will vary from person to person and depends on age, weight, severity of condition and several other reasons. It is best to consult a doctor before taking the dose.

HOW TO TAKE THE DRUG

The medicine is to be taken with a glass of water. Take the medicine as prescribed by the doctor. The dose should not be altered and should be taken exactly for the time period as prescribed by the doctor.
