PRASUSAFE 10MG contains Prasugrel which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-platelet agents
nIt inhibits the clumping of platelets and so reduces the chance of formation of blood clots

WHAT PRASUSAFE 10MG IS USED FOR?
n
PRASUSAFE 10MG is used to,
nReduce the chances of you having a further heart attack or stroke or of dying from one of these atherothrombotic events
nOpen blocked arteries in the heart
n
WARNING & PRECAUTION:

TALK TO DOCTOR

Talk to your doctor before taking PRASUSAFE 10MG, if you
nAre allergic to prasugrel or any of the other ingredients of PRASUSAFE 10MG
nHave a medical condition that is currently causing bleeding, such as bleeding from your stomach or intestines
nHave ever had a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
nHave severe liver or kidney disease
nHave an increased risk of bleeding
nHave a recent serious injury
nHave recent surgery (including some dental procedures)
nHave recent or recurrent bleeding from the stomach or intestines (e.g. a stomach ulcer or colon polyps)

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
n
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant or breast feeding while you are taking PRASUSAFE 10MG
n

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
n
PRASUSAFE 10MG should not be used in children and adolescents below 18 years of age
n
n
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
n
PRASUSAFE 10MG is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machines
n
n
INTERACTIONS:
n
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
nClopidogrel (an anti-platelet agent)
nWarfarin (an anti-coagulant)
nNon-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs? for pain and fever (such as ibuprofen, naproxen, etoricoxib)
n
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
n
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nThe usual dose of PRASUSAFE 10MG is 10 mg per day
nYou will start the treatment with a single dose of 60 mg
nIf you weigh less than 60 kg or are more than 75 years of age, the dose is 5 mg PRASUSAFE 10MG per day
nYou may take PRASUSAFE 10MG with or without food
nTake your dose at around the same time every day
nDo not break or crush the tablet
n
If you take more PRASUSAFE 10MG
nContact your doctor or hospital straight away, as you may be at risk of excessive bleeding
n
nIf you forget to take PRASUSAFE 10MG
n
nIf you miss your scheduled daily dose, take PRASUSAFE 10MG when you remember
n
nIf you forget your dose for an entire day, just resume taking PRASUSAFE 10MG at its usual dose the next day
n
nDo not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
n
nIf you stop taking PRASUSAFE 10MG
n
nDo not stop taking PRASUSAFE 10MG without consulting your doctor
n
nIf you stop taking PRASUSAFE 10MG too soon, your risk of a heart attack may be higher
n
STORAGE:

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
nDo not use this medicine after the expiry date
nStore at room temperature (15-25°C)
