It is used to treat,
nSymptomatic stable angina pectoris
nChronic heart failure

WARNING & PRECAUTION:

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
nAre allergic to Ivabradine or to any other ingredients of this medicine
nHave slow heart rate before initiation of the treatment
nAre suffering from any other heart problems
nSuffer from very low blood pressure
nSuffer from severe liver problems or kidney problems
nHave had recent stroke
nSuffer from chronic eye retinal disease

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
n
Do not take IRBAN 5MG if you are pregnant or are planning to have a baby or breast feeding
nAsk for advice to your doctor before taking this medicine
n

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
n
IRBAN 5MG is not intended for use in children and adolescents
n
n
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
n
IRBAN 5MG may cause temporary brightness in the field of vision
nIf this happens to you, do not drive or use machines
n
n
INTERACTIONS:
n
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
nFluconazole (an antifungal medicine)
nRifampicin, intravenous erythromycin (an antibiotic)
nBarbiturates, phenytoin (for difficult sleeping or epilepsy)
nQuinidine, disopyramide (to treat heart rhythm disorders)
nBepridil (to treat angina pectoris)
nPimozide, ziprasidone, sertindole medicines to treat anxiety, schizophrenia or other psychoses
nAnti-malarial medicines (such as mefloquine or halofantrine)
nPentamidine (an antiparasitic medicine)
nCisapride (against the gastro-oesophageal reflux)
nFurosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide (used to treat oedema, high blood pressure)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
n
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nIRBAN 5MG should be taken during meals
nIf you are being treated for stable angina pectoris, chronic heart failure
nThe starting dose should not exceed one tablet of IRBAN 5MG 5 mg twice daily
nThe maintenance dose should not exceed 7.5 mg twice daily
nThe usual dose is one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening
n
nIf you are elderly your doctor may prescribe half the dose i.e., one tablet of IRBAN 5MG 2.5 mg in the morning and one tablet of IRBAN 5MG 2.5 mg in the evening
n
nIf you take more IRBAN 5MG
n
nIf you take more IRBAN 5MG than you should contact your doctor immediately
n
nIf you forget to take IRBAN 5MG
n
nIf you forget to take a dose of IRBAN 5MG, take the next dose at the usual time
n
nDo not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose
n
nIf you stop taking IRBAN 5MG
n
nDo not stop taking IRBAN 5MG without first consulting your doctor
n

nDo not use this medicine after the expiry date
nStore at room temperature (15-25°C)
