WHAT AMLOSURE AT IS USED FOR?

It is used to treat

nHigh blood pressure
nChest pain due to narrowing of the blood vessels of the heart muscle
nUneven heart beats or heart attack
n

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

n

TALK TO DOCTOR

n

Tell your doctor, if you

nAre allergic to AMLOSURE AT or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
nAre suffering from narrowing of the aortic heart valve (aortic stenosis)
nSuffer from chest pain at rest or with minimal effort (unstable angina pectoris)
nHave severe low blood pressure (hypotension)
nHave heart failure or have suffered a heart attack during the past month
nHave severe increase in blood pressure (Hypertensive crisis)
nHave liver or kidney problems
nAre elderly
nHave second- or third-degree heart block (a condition which may be treated by a pacemaker)
nHave very slow or uneven heart beats
nHave higher than normal levels of acid in your blood (metabolic acidosis)
nHave asthma, wheezing or any other similar breathing problems
nHave diabetes
nHave thyrotoxicosis (a condition caused by an overactive thyroid gland)
nAre planned for a surgery

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

AMLOSURE AT should only be used for hypertension in children and adolescents from 6 years to 17 years of age

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

If this medicine make you feel sick, dizzy or tired do not drive or use machines and contact your doctor immediately

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

nVerapamil, diltiazem ,medicines used to treat hypertension
nKetoconazole and itraconazole used to treat fungal infections
nIndinavir, Nelfinavir, Nevirapine used to treat viral infections
nClarithromycin, Erythromycin, Rifampicin used to treat infections
nMedicines to treat depression
nJohn?s wort,herbal medicine for depression
nCorticosteroid used to treat inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as Dexamethasone
nDantrolene
nMedicine used to alter the way your immune system works such as tacrolimus
nSimvastatin, used as cholesterol lowering medicine
nCyclosporine, used as an immunosuppressant
nMedicines for epilepsy such as Phenobarbital, phenytoin and carbamazepine
nSildenafil, medicine for impotence
nDisopyramide, quinidine or amiodarone to treat uneven heart beat
nDigoxin for heart problems
nAdrenaline, also known as epinephrine a medicine that stimulates the heart
nIbuprofen or indomethacin for pain and inflammation
nInsulin or oral medicines for diabetes
nMedicines to treat nose or sinus congestion or other cold remedies

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take AMLOSURE AT exactly as your doctor has told you
nThis medicine can be used before or after food
nYou should take this medicine at the same time each day with a drink of water
nDo not take AMLOSURE AT with grapefruit juice.

If you take more AMLOSURE AT tablets

nIf you have taken too much AMLOSURE AT, contact your nearest hospital casualty department

nIf you forget to take AMLOSURE AT tablets
n
nIf you forget to take a tablet, leave out that dose completely
nTake your next dose at the right time
nDo not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
n
nIf you stop taking AMLOSURE AT tablets
n
nConsult your doctor before you stop taking this medicine
n

nDo not use your tablets after the expiry date
nStore at room temperature (15-25°C)
