It is used to treat iron deficiency anemia caused by too little iron in the body

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

nAre allergic or hypersensitive to Sodium feredetate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
nHave a history of sensitivity to iron-containing preparations
nHave repeated blood transfusions or have had them in the past
nHave hemolytic anemia
nHave an iron storage or absorption disease
nHave gastrointestinal disease

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Your doctor will give you the right dose based on your child?s age and body weight

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

It is not expected to have an effect on your ability to drive or operate machinery

INTERACTIONS:

n

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

nDimercaprol (used for metal poisoning)
nIron-containing medicines or tonics
nChloramphenicol, fluoroquinolones or tetracyclines (used to treat infections)
nPenicillamine (used for rheumatoid arthritis)
nMethyldopa (used for high blood pressure)
nMycophenolate (used to prevent organ transplant rejection)
nLevodopa, carbidopa or entacapone (used for Parkinson’s disease)
nBisphosphonates (used for osteoporosis)
nThyroxine (used for thyroid problems)
nTrientine (used for Wilson’s Disease)
nCholestyramine (used for high cholesterol)
nOmeprazole (used for stomach ulcers)
nBicarbonates, carbonates, calcium, magnesium, zinc and other mineral supplements (used as an indigestion and antacid remedies)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nIt is to be taken by mouth
nShake well before use

If you take more REDIHEALTH

nIf you accidentally take too much this medicine or give too much to a child, tell your doctor immediately or contact your hospital
nSymptoms of overdosage are sickness (this may have some blood in it) or make you feel sick, stomach pains, diarrhoea, blood in your stools, tiredness, cold and sweaty skin, fast heartbeat, high blood sugar, high blood acidity (metabolic acidosis)

nIf you forget to take REDIHEALTH
n
nIf you forget to take a dose, take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
n
nIf you stop taking REDIHEALTH
n
nDo not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
