WHAT FERIUM IS USED FOR?

It is used to treat iron deficiency anemia in adult who have :
nIntolerance to oral iron or who have not responded well to treatment with oral iron
nNon-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease
n
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions, including if you:
nHave had an allergic reaction to iron given into your vein
nHave high blood pressure
n
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
n
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding talk to your doctor before taking this medicine

INTERACTIONS:
n
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
nOral iron preparations
nPrescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements
n
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
n
Your doctor or nurse will administer FERIUM diluted by injection as infusion
nFERIUM is given intravenously (into your vein) by your doctor in 2 doses at least 7 days apart
n

STORAGE:
n
Store at room temperature between (15-25°C)
nKeep out of reach of children
nDo not use this medicine after the expiry date
nDo not accept if vial seal is broken
