PERNEX AC 5% is used to treat Acne which often refer to as pimples or spots

Talk to your doctor before taking PERNEX AC 5%, If you

nAre allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
n

PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

INTERACTIONS:

n

Tell your doctor, if you are using,

nOther acne medicines containing tretinoin, isotretinoin or tazarotene
nSulphonamide-containing products such as dapsone and sulfacetamide
n

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

n

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nWash the affected area with a mild skin cleanser and water, and gently pat your skin dry
nApply the medicine in a thin layer once or twice a day to all the affected areas
nIf you have sensitive skin apply the medicine once daily before going to bed
nYou should try to avoid exposure to strong sunlight while using PERNEX AC 5%
nIf exposure is unavoidable, use a suitable sunscreen lotion and apply PERNEX AC 5% in the evening
nRemember to wash the affected area before use

If you use more PERNEX AC 5%

nIf you have taken more PERNEX AC 5% than you should, talk to your doctor immediately

nIf you forget to use PERNEX AC 5%
n
nIf you forget to use your medicine at the right time
nWhen you remember, start using the product again, in the same way as before
n
nIf you stop taking PERNEX AC 5%
n
nDo not stop taking the PERNEX AC 5% until the doctor has told you to do so
n

SIDE EFFECTS OF PERNEX AC 5%:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them

SERIOUS

n

• Raised and itchy rash (hives)
n• Swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue or mouth (angioedema), having difficulty in breathing
n• Fainting
n• Severe redness, itching or peeling of the skin occurs, or you experience face swelling

n

COMMON

n

• Itching of the skin (pruritus)
n• Pain of the skin (pain, stinging)
n• Skin irritation (irritant contact dermatitis)

n
n

UNCOMMON

n

• Dry skin
n• Skin redness
n• Peeling of the skin
n• Burning sensation of the skin
n• Allergic contact dermatitis

n
