It is used on the face, chest or back for acne, where the skin may have lots of blackheads, spots and pimples

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
nAre allergic to adapalene or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
nHave cuts or scrapes or on sunburnt skin
nHave a skin condition called eczema
nHad exposure to strong sunlight and artificial UV light

PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING
n
DERIVA MS should not be used during pregnancy
nIf you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
n

CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
n
DERIVA MS is not recommended for use in children and adolescents
n
n
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
n
DERIVA MS is less likey to affect driving and using machines
n
n
INTERACTIONS:
n
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
nOther acne products (containing benzoyl peroxide, erythromycin or clindamycin)
n
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
n
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nDERIVA MS is applied at night before going to bed
nThoroughly wash the areas to be treated with water
nMake sure the skin is clean and dry before using this medicine
nPut a thin film of the gel with your fingertips on to the affected areas and rub in gently
nDo not forget to wash your hands afterwards

If you use more DERIVA MS
nIf you put too much DERIVA MS on your skin, it may become irritated and red. Some peeling or discomfort could also occur. Contact your doctor immediately
n
nIf you forget to use DERIVA MS
n
nIf you forget to apply your DERIVA MS at the right time. When you remember, start using this medicine again, in the same way as before
n
nIf you Stop using DERIVA MS
n
nDo not stop using this medicine unless told by your doctor
n
SIDE EFFECTS OF DERIVA MS:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

• Dry skin
n• Irritation of the skin
n• Burning sensation of the skin
n• Redness of the skin (erythema)
n

UNCOMMON
n
• Local skin reaction (contact dermatitis)
n• Skin discomfort
n• Sunburn
n• Itching of the skin (pruritus)
n• Peeling skin (exfoliation)
n• Flare up of acne
n
n

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
nDo not use this medicine after the expiry date
nStore at room temperature (15-25°C)
