Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
nAre allergic to clindamycin or to any of the ingredients of this medicine
n
nHave ever suffered from problems with your stomach or intestines
n
nSuffer from problems with your kidneys or liver
n
nSuffer from asthma, eczema or hay fever
n
INTERACTIONS:
n
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, such as:
nErythromycin, an antibiotic used to treat infections
n
nMuscle relaxants
n
nWarfarin or similar medicines ? used as blood thinners
n
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
n
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
nTaken either before or after a meal
n
nIt should always be swallowed whole with a full glass of water
n
nThe usual dose of this medicine in adults is between 150 and 450mg every six to eight hours, depending on the severity of your infection
n
nIf your doctor has prescribed CAMYDA 300MG, the usual dose is one medicine every 8 hours
n
nThe usual dose in children is between 3 and 6mg per kg every six hours, depending on the severity of the infection
n
nIf you take more CAMYDA 300MG
n
nIf you take too much CAMYDA 300MG at one time, call the doctor, or go to the emergency room right away
n
nIf you forget to take CAMYDA 300MG
n
nIf the forgotten dose is just a few hours late, take it straight away. If it is nearly time for your next dose, then miss out the forgotten one. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose
n
nIf you stop taking CAMYDA 300MG
n
nIf you stop taking the medicine too soon your infection may come back again or get worse
n
nDo not stop taking CAMYDA 300MG unless your doctor tells you to
n
SIDE EFFECTS OF CAMYDA 300MG:

Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
n

SIDE EFFECTS OF CAMYDA 300MG:

SERIOUS
n
• Persistent or bloody diarrhoea (which may be associated with stomach pain or fever). This may occur during or after completing treatment with antibiotics and can be a sign of serious bowel inflammation
n• Signs of a severe allergic reaction such as sudden wheeziness, difficulty in breathing, swelling of eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting the whole body)
n• Blistering and peeling of large areas of skin, fever, cough, feeling unwell and swelling of the gums, tongue or lips
n• Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice

n• Impaired sense of taste
n• Effects on your skin
n• Reddening of the skin, skin rash, itching (hives)
n• Effects on your stomach and intestines
n• Throat ulcers, sore throat, feeling sick, being sick, stomach pain and diarrhoea
n• Effects on your blood system
n• Reduced numbers of blood cells which may cause bruising or bleeding or weaken the immune system
n• Effects on your liver
n• Poor liver function
n• Effects on your genital area
n• Vaginal infection
